Central Region (Windhoek,

The Central Region is edged by two deserts, the Namib desert to the West and the Kalahari to the East. Traveling north one perceives that the region is rich in mineral wealth and animal life, while southwards there is a vast plain of scrub and rock.

Namib Region (Brandberg Area, Coastal, Namib Desert, Skeleton Coast)
The Namib is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean in the west, and extends from the Kunene River in the north for some 1600kms to the Orange River. It is 140 kilometres wide and the oldest known and the most extreme desert on earth.

Southern region of Namibia spans two famous deserts - the Kalahari in the east and the Namib in the west - with rugged, mountainous terrain in between. It presents some of the principally spectacular landscapes in the entire Namibia.
