The Desert Homestead will ensure you an unrivalled respite from the desert extremes. Tranquil surroundings, Alfresco dining, delectably fresh farm cuisine, refreshing dips in the pool, stunning sunsets and sunrises are the basic pleasures at the lodge.

The Desert Homestead is situated south of Sesriem in an idyllic setting and a good location from which to visit the sand dunes at Sossusvlei.

The Desert Homestead offers twenty rustic chalets, all built from local rock and blending in with the environment. Inside they provide luxury, with large single or double beds and en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet. The mosquito nets render a cosy alcove feeling. The lights and fans in the guest accommodation are powered by a bank of batteries, which are charged by wind and solar power during daytime. All the guest amenities (soaps, shampoo, body lotion etc.) are environmentally friendly.
